After the tragic death of The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint was discovered earlier this week, a rave has been organised in his memory with all of the proceeds to be donated to mental health charities.

Several DJs and acts who took to the stage alongside The Prodigy will perform at the event, including Slipmatt and Nookie. Of course, a whole heap of Prodigy tracks will get an airing as well.

The night will take place at nightclub The Cause in Tottenham, North London, on Saturday 16 March. Proceeds from the event will be split down the middle between mental health charities Mind in Haringey and CALM.

Flint - who was just 49-years-old - was discovered dead at his home in Essex on Monday. It has since been confirmed that he took his own life.

The organisers of the event wrote: "Male suicide IS the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.

"Mental health affects us all and raising awareness of this was one of they key factors in establishing The Cause.

"As such we are throwing a celebration of the music Keith and The Prodigy inspired, inviting down friends and those who shared line-ups and who's records were played at events during their rise to fame.

"100% of ALL profits, tickets AND bar revenue will go to charity. 50% to Mind in Haringey and 50% to The CALMzone."

The event is to be called 'Music for the Jilted Generation' after one of The Prodigy's most famous and critically acclaimed albums. Tickets start at £10, by the way.

The event ticketing page states: "Keith Flint is credited for helping to establish dance music's credibility in the mainstream for his work with The Prodigy.

"He was the vocalist on hits such as 'Firestarter' and 'Breathe', which both topped the UK singles chart in 1996.

"He was undoubtedly one of the greatest legends in the game, loved and respected by electronic music, punk and rock'n'roll fans alike."

Flint's death was confirmed on the official Instagram account of The Prodigy on Monday.

Flint's bandmate Liam Howlett's post read: "The news is true, I can't believe I'm saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend.

"I'm shell shocked, fuckin angry, confused and heartbroken ..... r.i.p brother, Liam"

The Cause in Tottenham will host the event.

Another statement said: "It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint.

"A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time."

If you're in North London next weekend, get out there, have a dance, and remember a legend. It's all for a good cause, after all.
