There has been another twist in the tale of Ariana Grande's dodgy tattoo and you will be pleased to know that she has finally tried to get it fixed.

Unfortunately for the 'Thank You, Next' singer, a professional translator has confirmed that her 'fixed' ink has gone from 'BBQ grill' to 'BBQ grill finger'.

The popstar revealed her new design to her followers today, when she posted a short video of her hand to her Instagram story.

The clip shows the new design, which has been corrected by tattoo artist Kane Navasard, with the caption: "Slightly better. Thanks to my tutor for helping me fix and to @kanenavasard for being a legend.

"RIP tiny charcoal grill. Miss u man. I actually really liked u."

However, a Japanese translator said that Ariana's second attempt to pay homage to her '7 Rings' single is still way off the mark.

The translator told LADbible: "Ariana's had a nightmare here. Technically, the new tattoo is still not right. If you read it in the same order as the original one, it now says 'BBQ grill finger ♡'.

"The only way it would be correct is if she added a couple more symbols and rearranged them. But to be honest there was no way of fixing it. She would've been better off just getting it lasered off."

The singer revealed the fixed tattoo on her Instagram page.

The singer originally had 'BBQ grill' branded on her skin before today's modification.

But I guess it's easily done. According to reports, the original ink was made up of two kanji characters: '七', which translates to 'seven', and "輪", which means 'circle' or 'rings'.

Logically, you might think that when they are both put together it would mean '7 Rings'. But sadly for the 25-year-old it's not quite that simple and instead of the name of her latest record, it translated to 'shichirin', which means a small charcoal grill.

The original tattoo missed out a symbol, which meant it actually translated to 'BBQ Grill' and not '7 Rings'.

Obviously, native speakers were quick to catch on to this and shared the entertainer's tweet - which has since been deleted, because you definitely would - pointing out the mistake.

One fan said: "I'M SCREAMING did Ariana Grande really tattoo the Japanese kanji of bbq grill on her hand SIS."

While another wrote: "Ariana Grande's new tattoo '七輪"' means Japanese style bbq grill, not 7 rings."

To be fair to her, Grande replied to one of her fans and admitted the mistake, saying a symbol had been accidentally left out.

She wrote: "Indeed, I left out 'つの指' which should have gone in between.

"I wouldn't have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won't last so if I miss it enough, I'll suffer thru the whole thing next time [sic]."

Personally I would have stuck with bbq grill.
