Jordan Feldstein, the longtime manager of Maroon 5 and the brother of the actor Jonah Hill, has died aged 40.

The Feldstein family has confirmed that Jordan died this past Friday night after suffering a heart attack. His death has been confirmed by the Los Angeles County Coroner.

Feldstein was known for founding the Beverly Hills-based management company Career Artist Management (CAM), whose roster alongside Maroon 5 includes Miguel, Elle King and Robin Thicke.

"Unfortunately, last night Jordan called 911 for shortness of breath, when paramedics arrived it was determined he went into full cardiac arrest and passed away shortly thereafter," read a statement from the Feldstein family.

"His family asks for privacy during this difficult and unexpected time."

Feldstein was a childhood friend of Maroon 5's lead vocalist Adam Levine and was responsible for negotiating Levine's role as coach on reality TV show The Voice.

Feldstein started in management working for ICM and Bill Leopold Management and has managed Maroon 5 since they first formed.

Under his stewardship Maroon 5 became one of music's most successful and popular acts. To date the pop rock band have sold 20 million albums worldwide and won three Grammy Awards.

Outside of his career Feldstein was a father to two children and married twice, once in 2013 to Francesca Eastwood, the daughter of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood. However, the marriage was later annulled.The Feldstein family has confirmed that it will soon be announcing a charity where wellwishers can donate in memorial of Jordan.
