Lewis Capaldi has responded to the not-so nice things Noel Gallagher said about him during a recent interview and he seems pretty delighted, to be fair.

Over the past few days the former Oasis star has hit out at vegans, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and, of course, brother Liam.

And, in an interview with Radio X, he took a swipe at Capaldi saying: "Music is fucking wank at the moment. Who's this Capaldi fella? Who the fuck's that idiot?"

But if you reckon Capaldi is feeling put out by Gallagher's words then you're wrong - because the Scottish singer shared the clip to his Instagram stories and responded with a jubilant, 'fucking c'mon!'

In a second story, he can be seen leaning beside his screen and as Gallagher asks, 'who's this Capaldi fella?' he points at himself saying 'me'.

"Fucking peaked," he adds. "Being slagged off by Noel Gallagher. Fucking c'mon!"

In another he says: "Number one single - who gives a fuck? Number one album - who gives a fuck? Noel Gallagher has just slagged me off. This is dreams coming true.

Lewis Capaldi enjoyed being 'slagged off' by Noel Gallagher.

"It's Father's Day, I'm being slagged off by a man who is old enough to be my Da and I've never been more happy. I've never been more happy. Happy Father's Day, Noel."

In another clip he can be seen singing along to Oasis track Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

While, Capaldi seemed to enjoy Gallagher's outspoken opinions, his brother Liam doesn't seem to be as impressed.

Taking to Twitter the former Oasis front man wrote: "Nothing worse than the c**t who doesn't vote then has an opinion on everything."

Which was seemingly a not-so-subtle dig at his brother's recent comments about Brexit, despite admitting to not voting in the EU referendum.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Gallagher said: "You take part in a democratic fucking process - if you don't like the outcome, go to North Korea.

"I sat the day of Brexit and thought, 'I can't be arsed going to the polling station, who the fuck would vote to leave Europe? It's a nonsensical fucking idea'.

"And you wake up the next day and think, 'Fucking hell, shit.'

"But the thing that is taking place after that is frankly a disgrace. It's a disgrace when you see people trying to get that vote overturned. Because that's fascism. Straight up. Pure and simple."
