Since we're all part of a generation that lives their lives on their phones, everything that comes via them is taken as gospel.

It's got to the point where we have more interactions via Whatsapp, text and Facebook and we can tell when certain people are 'off' with us. It's reading their facial expressions, but through emojis, abbreviations and punctuation.

But the worst message to receive, without a shadow of a doubt, is a plain and simple 'okay', or any of its variations like 'kk'. Apparently Eminem swears by this.

Fellow musician Pink text the legendary rapper trying to sort out a collaboration between the two, only doing so after a bit of Dutch courage. She allegedly drafted a huge email, full of her ideas and reasons for them, only for Em to give her the dreaded one word answer.

She told Entertainment Weekly, "I sneak-attacked him. Max [Martin] and I started making 'Revenge', and I wrote this rap. We were drinking a lot of wine, and then I went home and I thought more wine would be a good idea.

"I emailed [Eminem]. This is why they call it liquid courage. And I said, 'You know I love you. I like that you work with a lot of the same people, like Rihanna. She's hotter than me, but I'm funnier. So I'm going for a rap Grammy, and I'd like to take you along with me.' It was this long email, and he wrote back right away and just said, 'Okay'."

I mean it's not all bad, she got a reply, and got her wish to work with Eminem; it's just he doesn't seem all that enthusiastic about it.

Because Pink got a reply, and she was wasted on wine, she didn't waste any time firing another email over.

She went down the affectionate route, saying things about hugs and licking his face, to which she presumably hoped she might get a: "Haha let's make this happen," or at the very least a: "Lol", but it wasn't to be.

"I emailed him again. I was like, 'This is the best thing I've ever heard! I want to tackle you and rub your face in the dirt!' He just wrote back and was, like, 'Okay'," she said.

Despite Eminem's reluctance to partake in any online conversation they eventually linked up, recording the song 'Revenge' for Pink's new album Beautiful Trauma.
