I remember back in the day watching some of the other kids at school have an MC battle round the back of the bike sheds at school.
Why they chose there? I believe it was because they were saying some naughty things they didn't want teachers to hear.
Unfortunately for those kids, no matter their talents, they were never going to get heard by hiding.
One rapper who can't hide is Isa Muhammad. Homeless, without a penny to his name, he started rapping for Rick Ross as the MMG boss walked by.
This video, uploaded by Mario Costa, soon became a viral hit...
So impressed was Ross, he invited Isa to Atlanta for a 4th July weekend party. Apparently he's been doing the rounds with other MMG members as well and upon a conversation with Complex, it turns out he's now part of the crew.
Isa released his first single last week, signed to Ross' label, titled 'Chemtrails and Muslim Wars'. Check it out here...
Here he is on Instagram apparently shooting a video for the track...
Isa Muhammad is absolutely living the dream and that's by not hiding behind the bike shed. He put himself out there and he's now reaping the rewards.
I think we can all take a little inspiration from that.
