After spending several decades making music, shooting videos, and generally giving everyone a bit of a laugh along the way, Snoop Dogg is finally going to be recognised with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Dogg, who is actually called Calvin Broadus Jr, will be given a star in the recording category and it will be presented to him in a special ceremony that will be filmed for Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Late-night TV's Kimmel will have the honour of dedicating the hallowed space on Hollywood's pavement to Snoop, and the whole thing will then be shown on the TV later on. Also present will be music producer Quincy Jones and Snoop's fellow West Coast Hip-Hop pioneer, Dr Dre.
In a statement, Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said: "Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work,
"He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame."
Should you so desire, you'll be able to live stream the event on 19 November at about 16:30 GMT. You'll have to go to WalkOfFame.com to catch it.
Just because he is being honoured by his peers doesn't mean that the 47-year-old is going to be resting on his laurels from now on, either.
In fact, Snoop is busier than ever these days. He recently released a cookbook called From Crook To Cook, tastefully subtitled "Platinum Recipes From Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen".
Snoop described what we can expect from that in typical fashion, promising "snacks to satisfy those munchies.
"You know it's blazin' up in my kitchen. I'm takin' the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favourite recipes, ya dig?"
Exactly what that means is anybody's guess, but I'm sure that after working with Martha Stewart on the cookery programme "Martha and Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party".
So, Snoop is busy as hell basically. As well as being a celebrity chef, musician, and TV personality, he is also pretty shrewd in the business world.
As it happens, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recently honoured Tha Doggfather for his work in that field. He's got businesses in the world of cannabis - because of course he has - as well as fashion, and many more.
He's also off on tour straight after today for the "Puff Puff Pass US Tour". You can be sure that will be a laid-back affair.
Here's hoping he finds time to sip a celebratory Gin and Juice along the way.
