We Finally Know What 'Who Let The Dogs Out' Was All About

And it's not about being horrible to women.

Baha Men's classic one hit wonder 'Who Let The Dogs Out' always takes me back to the year six disco. Along with Shaggy's 'It Wasn't Me'. Lads would be wearing their sick fire emblazoned shirts and giving the girls they fancied packets of Lovehearts in an attempt to woo them.

The thing is, I always assumed that the song was about 'ugly' women. That's what I was told when I was little, and what I've been brought up believing. I've had absolutely no reason to question it whatsoever.

UNTIL NOW.

Huffington Post have turned my world upside down by interviewing the blokes who wrote the song and getting to the bottom of what the lyrics MEAN.

Anslem Douglas wrote the song (which was originally titled as 'Doggie') and revealed that it was about badly behaved men - not ugly women.

Explaining, he said: "It's a man-bashing song, it is."

He continued unravelling this mystery as it turns out it had a lot to do with his former brother-in-law: "He used to come in and say, 'Who let the dogs out?!' And one time he asked me, 'Why don't you turn this into a song? And the rest is history."

So the song is apparently about women who are pissed off about some slimy blokes who've called them bad names.

Weird that, isn't it?!

For old times' sake, here's the song...

How the fuck was this such a massive smash hit?!
