Dr Dre makes exciting announcement on behalf of Eminem

It's undeniably splendid news for Eminem fans

Good news everyone! Or at least Eminem fans, which is going to be a lot of people.

Dr Dre has made one hell of an announcement about his fellow rapper's career (with his permission) and it's the news every Eminem fan will have wanted to hear.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Dr Dre dropped the bombshell that Eminem had something big in the works and he was a part of it.

It turns out the rapper has a new album in the pipeline and you'll be able to hear Dr Dre on it as well.

He said: "Let me explain something to you right now. Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year and I actually talked to him and he said it was okay for me to make that announcement right her on this show.

"I've got songs on it and it's fire, I'm actually going to hear the entire album for the first time tomorrow.

"He holds his music close to his chest so I haven't heard everything complete, but I'm going onto hear and he's putting out an album this year."

Eminem's last album, Music To Be Murdered By, came out four whole years ago, so fans of his music will be licking their lips over the idea of 2024 being the time a fresh dollop of rap will be served up.

This is definitely not the first time Dr Dre and Eminem have teamed up for our benefit, though it has occasionally slipped Slim Shady's mind.

He was once asked whether he'd starred in a music video with Dr Dre before and thought for a moment before saying 'nope', apparently forgetting that he'd been in the video for 1999’s ‘Still D.R.E’.

Fortunately he was right next to Snoop Dogg at the time, who gently reminded him: "We was in a movie together, and the video, the Dre video.

"You was running on the beach. That was like your debut album. You was running on the beach with damn near no clothes on. You was Slim Shady, you was like crazy back then, like real crazy."

The penny finally dropped for Eminem, who admitted he'd been thinking about the 'Forgot About Dre' video instead.

Speaking of Snoop Dogg, he recently gave his verdict on claims that Eminem doesn't 'do s**t' any more, saying: "He do what he have to do, but I think when you’ve been the biggest rapper in the world for so many years, it’s like what more can you do?

"You know? I think it’s… he’s finding his moments now, finding when he wants to come and when he wants to drop and pop because, you know, his fan ain’t going nowhere."
