Netflix viewers think streaming platform has gone too far with new porn series

The series is loosely inspired by a real story

No pun intended but some viewers 'can't get behind' Netflix's latest porn series, which is loosely based on a real story.

The type of thing you're not going to want to watch with your parents is the upcoming series about one of the world's most famous porn stars.

Lads up and down the country will be telling their girlfriends they've 'never heard of Rocco Siffredi' as Alessandro Borghi takes on the role of the famed actor.

For those who have genuinely never heard of him, the adult film star has appeared in over 1,300 adult films since 1986 and has a reported net worth of $10 million.

Titled Supersex, the series will follow Rocco's family, his origins and his complex relationship with love.

Take a look at the trailer below:

Rated 18, the Italian drama has been dubbed as 'steamy' and 'intimate' by Netflix.

I mean, the trailer alone contains - you guessed it - sex - along with fights, drama, moans and also naked motorcycle riding.

"Every power is an enigma. It can give you light, or throw you into darkness. But every existence lived to its fullest always has a price to pay," the voice-over in the teaser adds.

Supersex - created and written by Italian screenwriter Francesca Manieri - also stars Jasmine Trinca as the character of Lucia, a fictional woman who 'represents a synthesis of most women with whom Rocco had a relationship in his life'.

Alongside Borghi and Trinca are Adriano Giannini as Rocco's half-brother Tommaso; Saul Nanni, who plays a younger Rocco, and Gaia Messerklinger as female Italian porn star, Moana Pozzi.

Commenting on the trailer, one viewer wrote: "I’m not sure I like the direction Netflix is going. Unlike Rocco, I can’t get behind this."

The trailer promises there's 'more' to Rocco Siffredi's story.

A second added: "Okay I'm gonna come right out and say it, #Supersex looks like it's gonna be too much for me. Netflix has gone too far."

"You know, Netflix turned into a hardcore sex channel so gradually, I didn’t even notice," a third wrote.

Meanwhile, other viewers were looking forward to the series, as one person thought: "Rocco has always stood out from all the other performers for me.

"He brings intensity to every scene. As if he's trying to bring out the most from the women he has scenes with. He's not just doing a job, like a run-of-the-mill goblin. He's fulfilling a raw fantasy."

Another commented: "What a horrible time to be unsubscribed to Netflix. I would like to see this."

"Looks right up my alley. Bring it on!" someone else said.

Supersex will be released on Netflix on 6 March.
