DC Comics have announced that after a long period of speculation, Batman and Catwoman are actually going to get married.
Life can be pretty lonely for a vigilante crime fighter. There just aren't that many people out there who share your interests.
It is pretty difficult for any potential partners to get that you have to go out in the middle of the night dressed up in latex and leather. In fact, that would be enough to make most people suspicious.

Luckily for Batman though, he has found his kindred spirit and - importantly - someone who is willing to get all leathered up and go out into the Gotham night right alongside him.
He officially popped the question last year, but there had been a lot of speculation online as to whether the wedding day would ever actually arrive.
DC have said that the big day will come this July in Batman #50. 4 July should be the day that Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle actually tie the knot though.

It's not going to be all plain sailing though, as you might expect.
Let's face it - it would be a pretty boring comic book series if the main characters went to the local shopping centre to choose bridesmaid dresses and had petty arguments about which of her relatives were allowed to go (The Dark Knight is a bit short on the family side, remember?)
No, of course The Joker is going to find out and try to wreak havoc on the happy couple before then.

This will all happen in DC Nation #0 - a cheaply priced, single issue comic that will preview three new stories in the DC universe.
Alongside The Bat and The Cat will be a new Superman story as well as a new Justice League tale.
The story in which The Clown Prince Of Crime finds out about the upcoming wedding and plans to sabotage it will be written by Tom King and illustrated by artist Clay Mann (who sounds a bit like a shit superhero himself).
This story will be the first time that The Joker has been seen in these particular Batman comics (the ones written by King) outside of a flashback.

DC Nation #0 - which will preview all three of the brand new stories - will be out in May, with the Batman wedding following a couple of months later.
