Sopranos actor Frank Vincent has reportedly died following open heart surgery.
The 78-year-old, real name Frank Vincent Gattuso Jr, portrayed the role of Phil Leotardo in the HBO series, as well as a number of characters in Martin Scorsese films, such as Raging Bull, Casino and Goodfellas.
Vincent suffered a heart attack last week, TMZ reports, and underwent open heart surgery on Wednesday. According to reports, he died on the operating table.

Vincent was spotted by Robert De Niro while co-starring in a low budget film with Joe Pesci. De Niro told Scorsese about the pair, leading to their successful careers.
