The iconic Fake Taxi - the vehicle promising the 'hottest rides' and arguably one of the world's most famous taxis - has been stolen from its parking space in Sutton.

Tweeting screenshots of CCTV footage showing the car being taken, the team at Fake Taxi wrote: "We are at a loss for words. The original Fake Taxi that started it all has been stolen."

"If anyone has any news on its whereabouts please email [email protected]."

In a statement, Lew Thomas - Head of Production at Fake Taxi - asked for the public's assistance, saying: "We're at a loss for words. The vehicle has a lot of history with our site and is deeply missed.

"We have other vehicles available, so this will not halt production on FAKE Taxi or FAKEhub. We hope to find the vehicle soon, so any assistance the public can offer in locating the vehicle will be very helpful."

The statement explained that the vehicle is black with a yellow 'Fake Taxi' logo printed horizontally along each side of the car, including on the rear window.

The manual transmission vehicle also features 'prominent front and rear bumpers'.

In a later tweet they urged people to share the news on social media, adding: "This vehicle holds a lot of sentimental value to the Passengers, Drivers and creators of Fake Taxi."

Fans and members of the online adult industry have condemned what happened, with one person writing: "WHOEVER DID THIS, YOU ARE THE WORST KIND OF HUMAN."

Fake Driving School performer Ryan Ryder referred to it as a 'crime against porn', writing: "Just heard the news of the original @FakeTaxi being stolen.... crime against porn and that legendary vehicle! I will be be putting a wheel lock on the @FakeDrivingSchl car from now on."

Another person wrote: "This is terrible news - but imagine the police forensics team when they shine a UV light in the back."

Hmm, they've got a point there.

Another person joked: "You guys had it cumming."

Brazzers has got in on the hunt, too, retweeting the news and sharing the hashtag '#FindFakeTaxi'.

And getting your vehicle stolen is just one of countless problems that Fake Taxi owner JT has had to go through. He recently talked us through some other occupational downsides that come with working in the adult film industry, including: "At the end of a hard day on location and you're smelling like sex even though you didn't actually have any."

Another, JT says, is: "Being surrounded by grown men with cocks the size of King [Kong]'s thumb, masturbating to keep themselves hard, while looking you in the eye and talking casually."

Yeah, can imagine that's a bit awkward, that.

But JT has previously told us that while the job can be hard - and it really isn't as different from other lines of work as you might think - the rewards of working in the adult industry are worth it.

"I eat in fancier restaurants and drive faster cars, that's for sure," he said.

"But joking aside, the adult industry is no different from mainstream [industries], you just get to look at naked girls every day.

"I have seven kids and what it's shown them (hopefully) is that you really need to work hard to succeed. Loving your job helps, too."

Fingers crossed he gets his prized taxi back somehow.
