Nick was born in January 1959 and grew up living with his parents (Lino Dan and Joyce Ferrari) and his brother (Simon Ferrari). His father ran a news agency, called Ferrari Press Agency, and this inspired Nick at an early age to work in the media himself.
Nick Ferrari’s career began in 1981 when he started as a news reporter for the Sunday Mirror which later led to him becoming a show business reporter at The Sun as well as the editor of the paper’s ‘Bizarre’ gossip page. During this period of his life, his most notable achievement was interviewing Roger Moore on the set of James Bond film Octopussy (1983) for The Sun.
After this Nick worked as a features editor for the News of the World’s Sunday magazine and then worked as the assistant editor of the Daily Mirror.
It was in 2001 that Ferrari first transitioned to working on the radio, presenting his first breakfast programme on LBC which became his full time job in 2004. Other than his main radio work he also has a column in the Sunday Express, is a regular guest on The Alan Titchmarsh Show on ITV1 and often discusses news stories on This Morning. He also used to host the debate show Forum on Press TV, an Iranian news station, but he resigned from his position as host of the station’s programme in 2009, in protest of the Iranian regime’s repression of dissent after the country’s presidential election in June 2009.
