KSI And Logan Paul Made An Absolute Fortune From Last Night's Fight

It was the pop culture fight of the Internet age - Youtubers KSI and Logan Paul went head-to-head in the ring last night following an online feud that spanned months and saw a back and forth of insults, trolling and diss tracks.

OK, the Internet didn't break as we predicted. But it did draw in an epic crowd, who eagerly tuned in to watch the pair battle it out to settle their ongoing beef.

In the meantime, the Youtubers are no doubt just riding the wave for as long as they can. As reported by the Mirror, the pair will have made an absolute bomb from last night's round.

In front of 18,000 fans at the Manchester Arena, 80,000 viewers, and half a million who illegally streamed the fight, KSI and Logan Paul endured six rounds of tense white-collar boxing in what was hailed the 'biggest event in Internet history'.

The spoils were shared 50/50 and although no official figures have been revealed, it's believed to be somewhere around the £150 million ($192m) mark and will be added to the lucrative sponsorship deals that the pair signed.

So yeah, Logan might've lost the $1m (£774,375) he allegedly put on himself to win, but he'll be making that back dozens of times over in sponsorship deals and earnings from streamers and ticket sales.

Same goes for KSI, who kickstarted the fight after winning in his February boxing match against Joe Weller (another YouTuber).

After KSI announced, "If any YouTuber wants it, you can come get it. Jake Paul, Logan Paul, any of the Pauls, I don't care," Logan accepted the challenge in the height of his post-Japanese 'suicide forest' controversy.

You could speculate that this was some sort of well-planned scheme. Could KSI and Logan have mapped out the entire thing - from the boxing match, to the controversy, to the increasingly volatile online feud - so they could boost their earnings from thousands to millions as Internet stars?

Let's stop before we edge too closely into conspiracy territory.

Instead let's revel in the fact that this fight actually happened, proving we truly are living in the age of the Internet - where men and women can be anything they want to be and becoming a FIFA Youtuber-turned-rapper-turned-boxer is a viable career path. What a time to be alive - all we can do is go along with it.

Sure, the fight ended in a very disappointing draw, but that's not to say this is over - they will of course meet again in the ring to settle this feud once and for all.

As Logan himself said post-fight: "The rematch is going to be fucking crazy." Damn straight - and so is his paycheque.
