Joe Weller Reveals How Much Money He Earned From Fighting KSI

Clue: It's not as much as you'd think.

Right, here we go again, yet further discussion of the farcical boxing match between KSI and Logan Paul.

Whilst it might have been something of a ridiculous contest - two non-boxers going head to head because they argued on the internet - it certainly proved popular.

It was almost definitely incredibly lucrative too, but nobody actually knows how much money was made. KSI set about proving that his fans definitely don't have a bloody clue how much he earned from it in a video the other day, but there might be some more valuable opinions to be heard yet.

One person who might be able to make a more educated guess is Joe Weller. The YouTuber took on KSI in his first ever boxing fight at London's Copper Box and as such can be held at least partially responsible for the whole sordid business that is YouTuber boxing beef.

Whilst the fight between KSI and Weller - KSI won, as it happens - was nowhere near as hyped up and as drawn out in terms of promotion, it still took place in front of a large crowd, with plenty watching on the internet.

KSI vs Logan Paul was a pay per view event, and took place at a larger arena, so it will have yielded larger amounts of cash, but if anyone has an idea, it's Weller.

In a video posted to his account, he said that he only earned about £20,000. He also said that around £6,500 of that was spent on his training. Not the huge payday you might have imagined then.

As mentioned, the Logan/KSI fight was a much bigger event, but even so, the two fighters might not have become instantly massively wealthy as a result.

What's more, we don't know what split was agreed between KSI and Weller. It could have been the 50/50 split that Paul and KSI agreed, but it also might have been weighted towards KSI, hence the £20,000 figure.

Either way, there will be more money to be made when the pair have a rematch - of course, the first contest was a majority draw - in Logan's native USA.

For Weller's part, he also revealed that he thinks that Logan Paul should have won the first fight and will almost definitely win the second if he can retain his energy into the later rounds.

One thing is for certain, it will make them a lot of money, but at what cost?
