John Cena And Nikki Bella Won't Be Making Any Baby Wrestlers

Damn.

Wrestling fans watched on as John Cena stole Roman Reigns' thunder at Sunday's WrestleMania by asking long-term girlfriend Nikki Bella to marry him. Aw.

Since the announcement there's been much speculation about the possibility of the two wrestling stars sharing their DNA to create a new super-wrestler. However, in a recent interview with TMZ Nikki quickly shot down the idea of any babies.

When asked if there will be any mini-Cenas in the future, Nikki said: "I've been getting that question a lot, let me tell you. No, there won't be."

Following this up with: "John doesn't want kids, so we're not gonna have kids." Fair enough.

Popping the question in front of 75,000 people (not to mention everyone watching at home) Cena said: "I said, do you know, one day I'm gonna marry you? You said, yes.

"I just need you to say yes one more time.

"I've been waiting so long to ask you this. Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, will you marry me?"

To which Nikki replied, 'who said that? I can't see anyone...' Nah, of course she didn't. She said 'yes' and they kissed, and it was an oddly beautiful moment for WrestleMania.

Nikki also told TMZ that while she had heard a lot of speculation she was caught completely off-guard by the proposal. She said: "I saw all the rumours on the Internet, but I literally was like: 'There's no way my man's gonna be proposing - he's so private.'"

Adding that she thought, "'there's no way that he'd propose in front of all those people, for 70,000, and then all the ones that, you know, were tuned in worldwide.' So, I really didn't expect it. I was so shocked."

As of yet the two haven't really made any concrete plans, because Nikki 'gave up on the whole marriage thing so long ago'.

But it seemed like it had been on John's mind for a while, he told the Today show: "I found the absolute right person, I found a strong person I consider an inspiration, an equal, somebody who when I'm feeling down picks me up.

"It took a person that strong to change my view on life." He also revealed that his mum was in the audience and she had no idea about what he was going to do. This is all very sweet; can I get an 'ahh'?

The proposal came after the pair defeated married duo The Miz and Maryse in a tag team match.

The happy couple are yet to set a date, but I hope it's a wrestling-themed wedding.
