Nate Diaz's Coach Says They Want At Least $20Million To Fight Conor McGregor

There's talk of a third fight.

As expected there's talk of Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz going at it for a third time in the octagon.

Following his defeat against Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring, McGregor said of Diaz: "I faced him at 170lbs, he beat me. I rematched him at 170lbs, I beat him. Now I'm the 155lbs champion, now if he wants that fight, he must come down - that's a fair trade.

"I didn't ask for the rematch at a lower weight. I asked for it at the exact same weight. I thought that was a fair play move on my behalf and I came in and I won.

"So now I won the 155lb title after that, so if he wants the fight he has to make the 155lb limit."

The Irishman's agent, Audie Attar, then confirmed to MMAJunkie that Conor wants the third fight.

"He wants that triology," Attar said, before confirming all the other options on the table.

Word has obviously reached the Diaz team, and they've replied accordingly, saying they want at least $20million for the bout.

Knowing that McGregor's wallet is bigger than his ego, and the fact that this Saturday's boxing match was a ridiculous multi-million deal, they're not going to stand for chump change.

"[We want] at least $20 million, $30 million," Richard Perez, the Stockton fighter's coach, told Submission Radio. "Come on. UFC's making a whole lot of money.

"They're giving more to McGregor, so it's not fair because it takes two in that ring to draw a crowd."

The Notorious is hot property right now, despite his loss to Mayweather, as he held his own in the squared circle.

"You've got Khabib calling him out, then you obviously have Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee who are fighting for the interim lightweight title. You have Max Holloway, who is the 145 champ now, who Conor beat after blowing out his ACL at the beginning of the fight," Attar said.

"You have options, and he loves mixed martial arts.

"Everyone is like, 'Oh he's going to retire - he made so much money.' He's ambitious. He's super ambitious, and he loves to fight. He loves to compete and he's a superb professional athlete. So, there's much more Conor McGregor that everybody will see, and we'll see what's next."

For me, I hope it's a Hell in a Cell match against Brock Lesnar at WWE's next big event. That's what we all want to see.
