There was months of build-up, loads of money, and emphatic anticipation for Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar, but... it was over in two minutes. I'm sure a lot us can actually relate to that scenario, however, it doesn't make it any less disappointing.
The return of the 49-year-old former world champ seemed like desperation from WWE, bringing in a seasoned veteran who hasn't wrestled in 12 years to get a big draw to a pay-per-view.
Bill Goldberg came back to the squared circle still looking jacked, which led many to believe that his match with The Beast Incarnate would be a destructive war. It was going to be the coming together of the immovable object and an unstoppable force, a tornado meeting a volcano. But it was nothing of the sort.

Lesnar tried to burst out of the blocks early, forcing Goldberg into a corner. However, Suplex City was invaded when his opponent shoved him to the ground and then landed two spears and a massive Jackhammer. All that was left was for the ref to count one, two, three.
The good news is that, because such a big match ended this quickly, there's probably more to come from Goldberg in WWE over the next year or so.

This will either be the beginning of a great feud between two powerhouses, culminating at Wrestlemania 33, or the gateway to another massive rivalry for Goldberg.
