Wrestler Suffers Horrible Concussion After Move Goes Awfully Wrong

Wrestler Suffers Horrible Concussion After Move Goes Awfully Wrong

It's an occupational hazard, for sure

As we all know, everything that takes place in the World Wrestling Entertainment Universe is absolutely, 100 percent, unequivocally real. Admit it, it's the truth we all want to hear.

With that in mind, nobody - even those foolish naysayers who believe it's fake (nonsense!) - could possibly say that some of the things that they get up to are not ridiculously dangerous. You don't get chucked several metres into the air and land on your back every time without hurting yourself.

Well, this time one of the wrestlers really did get hurt. In fact, they got completely sparked out. A couple of huge kicks to the head will tend to do that from time to time.

During Monday Night RAW, Liv Morgan was engaging in a six-person tag match that featured her Riott Squad team against the Bella Twins and Natalya. It was all going to plan until Morgan found herself in the ring with Brie Bella.

Bella was in the process of raining down kicks - called 'Yes Kicks' - to Morgan's head when she missed/hit the target.

That is to say that she missed the intended target, but very much put Morgan's lights out. She went completely limp, which is worrying.

Even more worrying was the fact that she then tried to continue on despite her injuries. She was even involved in a triple suplex, whilst being obviously concussed.

Medics then managed to get to her and treated her just outside of the ring, so hopefully she'll be fine.

After the fight the WWE confirmed that she had indeed suffered a concussion from the kicks and must now take some time off and go into the company's concussion protocols.

That means that there is no set timetable for her return and she must be medically cleared before she can enter the ring again.

The WWE statement reads: "Liv Morgan has a concussion and is going through the proper protocol under WWE's comprehensive wellness program."

Naturally, Brie Bella took a bit of flak online from fans who obviously don't understand that these guys know the risks before they step into the squared circle.

She answered this criticism on Twitter:

On the upside, and not that it matters, but the Riott Squad won the match in the end.
