WWE star Trish Stratus has celebrated her daughter's first birthday by sharing an impressive before-and-after shot of herself.

The mum-of-two showed off her incredible figure in a blue and gold robe, alongside a photo of her while heavily pregnant, taken one year apart.

In the post Trish congratulates herself on taking part in the all-female Royal Rumble in January, writing: "If you had told me I would be celebrating my daughter's first year birth month by kicking ass in a @wwe ring, I would have probably said 'get the F out of here'.

"But I did. At 12 months postpartum, 12 years post retirement and 7 years since I've competed in a ring and since birthed 2 children - I did it.... I came. I fought. I stratusfied. Because I am woman."

She then goes on to thank the trainer who helped her get back in shape, before saying she is now 'stronger, wiser and more bad-assy'. Her post has been liked almost 110,000 times in 18 hours and has been flooded with comments from fans praising her body and calling her an inspiration.

Although officially retired, Trish was one of seven mums to hop back into the ring for the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

Following her retirement from the ring, Trish, 42, has set up her own yoga studio - the brilliantly named Stratusphere.

Last year the former WWE star opened up about the infertility issues that had affected her attempts to have a second child, telling CBC: "My first born was born in 2013 and we always wanted to have two children, so - if you do the math - it took us a while. The infertility kind of crept up on us and we didn't really realise it was a problem until we weren't getting pregnant. So, we got help.

"I don't think you can ever prepare yourself for just the emotional, spiritual, mental and physical strain that it will put on your body. At the time, I didn't hear about it, I didn't talk to people who were going through this. That's why I want to get out there and share my story and tell people you're not alone.

"I'm not saying this is a one-size-fits-all solution and that someone can just go out and just do what I did and get pregnant. Every body is different and every situation is different."
