A woman has made an eerie discovery after spotting a mysterious leak in her 200-year-old house.

Content creator Mystee (@mysteeipong) has taken to TikTok to detail the moment she and her husband found a hidden area within their New York home. Watch below:

In a series of videos, the influencer said she 'noticed there was a leak' with 'water backing up' from a random section in the basement.

Mystee's husband Ken joined her in the 'creepy basement' as the pair began unearthing the 'interesting history' behind what she found.

The New York resident told her 51k followers that Ken and his family 'has some experience with very creepy stuff' that she insisted would help with the discovery.

So you'd think the pair were well equipped, but their followers thought differently.

In a viral clip shared last week, Mystee - who is 'super interested in the history' - revealed that she and her husband found a mysterious, closed-up door in her basement, which leads to a room.

"You can even see a doorway around it," she said, whilst sharing the bizarre find.

However, it seems that the couple didn't really have the right tools to fully break it down.

"Luckily they are cinder blocks so they are hollow on the inside, we got through the first part but we have yet to get through the second part," she said.

"The reason why we haven't been able to get through is because this room is filled with rocks," Mystee explained.

After digging up some info on the home's history, she claims that the room may have been linked to a tunnel.

"I didn't know that my house had ties to the underground railroad," she said, adding: "We looked up Clarkson and sure enough, eight minutes away there is a station."

Whilst many viewers were spooked by the footage, others suggested that the couple get a professional to help them out.

"Based on your husband’s tools, I don’t think he’s too eager to get in!" one user wrote.

"Am I the only one that thinks that room is sealed off for a reason?" another said.

"Bricked in room 200-year-old house that’s the plot to MOST 80s horror movies lol," a third commented.

"I have never been so creeped out and invested at the same time," someone else thought, which completely sums up my view on the situation.
