Peter Kay is calling on key workers to help recreate the iconic '(Is This The Way To) Amarillo' music video for BBC's Big Night In.

The 46-year-old comedian called upon fans to 'stomp along' to the original track to show support for the night of fundraising.

If you want to be in the final cut of the video, you need to make sure you're filming in landscape mode before uploading the footage on to social media and posting the clip alongside the hashtag #BigNightInAmarillo.

Responding to the request, one person said: "We defo need something to keep us going and have a laugh".

Tagging their colleagues, another added: "We should do this together obviously keeping the distance but this would be ace don't u think?"

A third wrote: "Genius way of remaking the best Children In Need video by far..good luck to all you key workers."

For one night only, Comic Relief, BBC Children in Need and BBC One are coming together for an evening of entertainment.

According to the channel, viewers should expect big surprises, money can't buy prizes and live music performances (from the artists' homes), with lots of famous faces coming together.

Paddy McGuinness will be hosting the show live alongside Matt Baker, Zoe Ball, Lenny Henry and Davina McCall. David Walliams and Matt Lucas will also be back on TV for the first time in over a decade with a new sketch.

The money raised by The Big Night In will be split equally between Comic Relief and Children in Need and will go on to support local charities and projects in the UK, so they can continue to provide vital emergency support.

BBC's Big Night In will air on 23 April at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
