Viewers have been blown away with Kevin Hart's new flick Fatherhood, with many branding it his best movie to date. You can check out a trailer here:

The movie landed on Netflix last week - just in time for Father's Day - and viewers who have already seen it have flocked to social media to heap praise on Hart's performance.

The heart-wrenching story is based on the true-life story Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss and Love by Matthew Logelin and stars Hart as Logelin - a man who becomes a single dad after his wife tragically dies the day after giving birth.

The emotional movie - and Hart's impressive performance - has left viewers in tears.

Posting on Twitter, one Netflix user said: "Kevin Hart I just finished watching Fatherhood and it is hands down the best damn movie I have ever seen!

"Tears still flowing uncontrollably but worth every tear."

Someone else wrote: "Loved this movie so much, Kevin Hart is amazing although it should come with a mascara warning! No wonder it is No1 in the UK."

A third commented: "Fatherhood on Netflix was such a good movie. Shed a few tears throughout the movie but Kevin Hart delivered. Great watch."

While someone else wrote: "Kevin Hart played his role in Fatherhood so damn perfect. Makes you realise."

Another person said: "Fatherhood is definitely by far Kevin Hart's best role."

Alongside Hart, the movie also stars Melody Hurd, Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, Anthony Carrigan and Paul Reiser.

Speaking to ComingSoon, Hart revealed what it was like taking on a more serious role.

He said: "It's finding a line that you can walk on, and deliver a message and not be over the top with the funny. Be grounded when the moments call for it, right? Make them real and reactive laughs, rather than forced laughs.

"But in this case, for me, it was about the drama. It was about making sure that I was believable in what I lost and the hurt and pain that I was experiencing.

"Also making sure that you're on my side in supporting me and understanding the amount of love that I had to give this little girl and me not wanting to not be there for her.

"You wanted to be present and not let my wife that had passed away down.

"There was so much going on in the character's head. So I had a lot of stuff to think about while doing it, a lot of things to pull from, but it all added value to performance."
