Idris Elba is engaged to Sabrina Dhowre after getting down on one-knee at a cinema in London earlier today. How else, really.
The actor, 45, and his partner, 29, were surrounded by friends and colleagues at a screening of his new film Yardie when he popped the question. Ahh.
Rio Cinema, in Dalston, shared the good the new on Twitter shortly after, posting: "Another riocinema first! Still 5 days to Valentine's Day but Idris Elba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film Yardie.
"She said yes and there was much clapping and cheering."
People who saw the romantic moment, also rushed to Twitter to share the good news. One wrote: "At cast & crew screening of Yardies & Idris Elba just proposed to his girlfriend Sabrina!! Big Congrats to you both!!"
Another added: "At cast & crew screening of Yardies & Idris Elba just proposed to his girlfriend Sabrina!! Big Congrats!!"
The pair met in 2017, while he was filming The Mountain Between Us in Canada. Sabrina, a former Miss Vancouver, will now become step-mum to Idris' daughter Isan, 15, and his three-year-old son Winston.
Speaking about meeting his partner, Idris said: "Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special."
