It's the day we all hoped would never come, but Fearne Cotton has quit iconic 'comedy' panel show, Celebrity Juice.

*I'm not crying you're crying*

After more than a decade on the late night quiz show, the 37-year-old has decided to call it a day and says she is leaving TV mates Holly Willoughby and Keith Lemon to take her career into a new direction.

The former Radio 1 presenter said: "After ten tears of complete fun I have decided to leave Celebrity Juice. It has been a joy to be part of this magnificent show and I wish the team the very best in future series."

During her time on the panel show Fearne has taken part in any number of its infamously humiliating adult games, most recently licking X Factor contestant Ayda Field as part of the Christmas special.

Fearne has been a regular on the comedy panel show for the past 10 years.

But increasingly she has moved away from childish humour to more adult projects - last year she released her wellbeing book, 'Happy' and started a podcast, where she speaks to fellow celebrities, like Stephen Fry, about dealing with mental health.

The mum-of-two is now set to host a new BBC home improvement show, called Project Interiors, next year.

Last month she told the Mirror how her family and her work were her main focus.

She said: "My social life has gone down the shitter. I used to see my friends every day, but I just can't fit it in right now.

Fearne's co-stars have said they will miss her but there will be a new captain next year.

"If I did I'd be burnt out because my work life is so busy. So, I think you do have to lose something. My girlfriends aren't going anywhere."

Since she broke the news that she was leaving the show her co-stars have taken to social media to say farewell to Fearne.

Holly Willoughby wrote: "I'm going to miss you being on the other side of my banana... thank you for 10 years of laughter... love you @fearnecotton ... we are going to MISS you on @celebjuiceofficial SOOO much :disappointed_relieved: xxxx"

Keith Lemon also sent his thanks to the Londoner but revealed they will have a replacement for the next series.

He said: "End of an era! Gonna miss @fearnecotton Fanks for the fun times. Love you deeply! Good luck with your next chapter! I hope one day we'll play again. But the show must go on. Me and Holly and a new captain will be back in March for more @celebjuiceofficial."
