If you've been watching this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, then you'll be familiar with the fact that Dennis Wise is a very small man.

Host Dec made the comment pretty much every time Wise's name was mentioned, and when Wise was voted out on Thursday the two of them stood back to back to see who was taller.

And, after nearly three weeks of 'he's a very small man' jokes, Wise, who is 5'6ft, turned out to be the taller of the two. Awkward.

Now, the former footballer has spoken about the whole thing. He told the Sun: "I thought it was hilarious. We got measured up and I'm taller than him.

"I have seen what they've said about me while I was in the jungle and it was brilliant.

"Honestly, I don't mind the mickey being taken of me. I thought it was hilarious.

"It's quite funny because they are Newcastle United fans so I wondered how they were going to be with me, but we were fine.

"I expect people will be shouting at me in the street about it when I'm back in England, but I had that anyway for a long time ago when I was playing football, so I'm not fussed about that."

The Geordie duo didn't give him an easy ride on the show, with some suggesting that the reason behind their insults was due to his time as their beloved Newcastle United's Executive Director of Football in 2008.

Wise also used to the interview to insist that he isn't bully, after he has been called out for the way he, Jamie Lomas and Amir Khan have behaved towards Iain Lee.

He told the paper: "My relationship with Iain is fine, I don't get all this bullying talk, I don't think that is correct. I am a person who says what I think and I am working from a competitive angle and I have always been in this team element."

Adding that the show was 'edited in a certain way', to make him look worse.

He said that he had arranged for tickets for Iain and his kids to go to a Chelsea match and that he is going to appear on his radio show.
