Netflix is going to revive crime drama Top Boy with two new series, it's been reported.
The British crime drama was first broadcast in 2011 on Channel 4 and was set on a fictional housing estate in Hackney, East London, with the plot centring on the lives of a group of residents from the estate, who were involved in drug dealing and gangs. It was billed as an 'honest look' at inner-city gang culture.

It was a big hit with viewers and a second series followed two years later, both of which are now available on Netflix.
Rumours have been circulating about a third series since April, when Canadian rapper Drake bought the rights to the show. This stepped up when the show's star Ashley Walters shared this video (and pretty obvious hashtag) on Instagram:
According to the Radio Times, Netflix is planning on making two more series of the hit show, with Walters expected to reprise his role as drug dealer Dushane.
Netflix has yet to make a formal announcement, but reports suggest it's imminent.
After Channel 4 dropped the show, Drake wasted no time getting his hands on the rights, after previously tweeting about how much he enjoyed it.
Walters even told the Mirror that the hip-hop superstar might be making an appearance in the next series.
He said: "We met up to start talking about the show and we are working out a role for him.
"He loves acting, of course he wanted a part.
"He's going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it."
Walters added that Drake was 'actually quite boring, in a good way', whatever that means.
Advert
According to the Radio Times, filming is due to start soon, once Walters has finished with his current project, a drama called Bulletproof.
As Netflix are yet to make an official announcement and no air date has been confirmed, but its been reported that its likely to be back on our screens at some point next year.
I can't wait for this.
