Finding your true love is a pretty difficult thing these days. While we've got plenty of dating apps and TV shows to sign up to, it's kind of muddied the waters and made it harder to create a solid, meaningful relationship with someone.
It can be a sweaty experience to pluck up the courage to ask someone on a date, but imagine the balls of steel you have to have to do it on national telly.

Well, Phil thought he'd give that a go on Take Me Out and was thrilled when he scored a date with Bella - or so he thought.

The magician could hardly contain his excitement when he was whisked off to the Island of Fernandos to have a date with contestant Bella.

The only hitch? The young woman didn't actually want to be there.
Speaking to the camera shortly before the date started, Bella said: "He seemed like a really nice guy, but I forgot to turn my light out."
Brutal.
But they went on their date anyway (which was a fun little camel ride by the way), however Phil was still in the dark about Bella's actual intentions. Unsurprisingly, that caused people on social media so send some pretty intense criticism Bella's way.
One person wrote: "Noticed how Bella kept her trap shut until she got there for her free holiday."
While another said: "Why would you even feel the need to tell someone you actually didn't manage to turn your light off in time and it was a mistake, you just wouldn't say anything... Bella is a knob."
Once their camel riding was done and dusted, the pair sat down on rugs for a more intimate setting. It was here where Bella confessed her true feelings to Phil.
"I've got a really horrible confession. I was just so enraptured by your magic and so I pressed my light and it was too late."
That revelation means Phil got a complete black-out during his appearance on the show, with none of the women were interested in going on a date with him.
In another cringeworthy moment, he has to ask Bella whether she'd like to go on another date with him and she politely declines.
To be fair, he takes the news as well as possible and is mainly happy that he got a free holiday out of the experience. Still though, that's pretty brutal to have that happen to you on national television.
