The chef is famous for his cooking and his love of swear words, but even he was taken aback by hearing it.

There's a fair few things Gordon Ramsay is known for, but despite being a world famous chef, his ability in the kitchen isn't necessarily the first thing that springs to mind.

The Scotsman is perhaps better known for his tendency to swear all the fucking time, just because some dickhead has made a shit-show of the fucking risotto.

This blatantly endearing trait has helped fuel his career, and has now seemingly rubbed off on his children.

He recently revealed that his youngest child, Matilda Ramsay, got a bit too big for her boots at a family party and told him to 'fuck off'.

To be quite honest he can't really blame anyone but himself, but he was still taken aback by his 16-year-old daughter dropping the F bomb on him.

"It it was our twins' 18th birthday party on Saturday just gone, and we had this amazing Great Gatsby party and we had Olly Murs sing," Ramsay told Australia's The Project.

"At literally five past 12am, my youngest turned around and said, 'Dad' and I said, 'Are you OK Matilda?', and she said, 'it's time to f**k off now'."

He admitted to laughing off the incident, but rather hypocritically said he'd have liked it if his kids behaved with a bit more decorum. I mean, he has a show called The F Word, inspired by both his love of food and expletives, so I reckon one curse word on a night out isn't going to send her to hell.

"You know... I taught them very early on in life, you know, that those words were naughty - never use them," he added.

The two seem to have a pretty decent relationship, though it is primarily made up of Gordon trying his best to be the stereotypical embarrassing dad.

Recently on her birthday the 51-year-old chef decided to post a throw-back of his daughter performing Katy Perry's song 'Firework' for the sole purpose of ruining her life.

He wrote: "Happy Birthday gorgeous! Thank goodness you can cook because you can't sing! Love you Tilly Ramsay xxx"

Matilda, who is called Tilly by he family, is following in her father's footsteps by starring in her own show.

CBBC's Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch follows the adventures of the Ramsay family during the summer holidays, alongside her cooking up some grub.

Completing the Ramsay family are twins Jack and Holly, 17 and nineteen-year-old Megan, along with Gordon's wife Tana, 48.
