He's hard.

Gordon Ramsay has made a career out of finding the balance between being an arsehole and being endearing but people often question whether or not it's an act.

MasterChef Junior, which features children trying their best in the kitchen, shows Gordon being a bit more subdued when it comes to criticism, being helpful rather than shouting.

However, Matilda Ramsay, his second eldest child, who is an aspiring chef herself, has commented on the full extent of her dad's savage nature.

Matilda, or Tilly, tailors her recipes to people in age groups, making it a bit easier and making sure there's not as much fuss involved, as there is with her dad.

But even so Gordon can still be tough on her when tasting her food.

"He's a really fussy eater... Well, with my food. He's really tough on me. He definitely is," she said on This Morning. "[My cooking] is a lot easier than his, because... if you don't have one of the ingredients, it's not a big deal. His is a lot more fussy."

At this point, none other than the Scotsman popped up with a pre-recorded message for his daughter, referring to himself as her 'favourite chef'.

In the message, he said: "Hi Tills, good luck today, but more importantly do not burn anything and remember, you learned everything from me."

Despite her father's criticisms, she's doing well enough, as she hosts Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch on CBBC, a series aimed at children which follows her cooking for the Ramsay family.

However, it looks as if there is quite a bit of cohesion in the Ramsay kitchen from time to time, as the pair once showed on a different episode of This Morning.

They showed Phil and Holly what they whip up on Christmas morning for breakfast, with Matilda demonstrating the "twist" she puts on the bacon.

While they're cooking, she reveals that he once almost set a studio on fire, burns a lot of stuff and shouts far too much while he's in the kitchen.

Bloody chancer, that Gordon.
