It was a song that defined the summer of 2015.
Mike Posner's 'I Took a Pill in Ibiza' was successful not only because it a brilliant dance track, but the lyrics highlighted the downside to fame and what happens when the party is over. It was originally an acoustic song until Norwegian duo SeeB remixed it and turned it into the club favourite everyone knows today.
But interestingly, that chorus hook was based off a real moment that Posner experienced when he was on the Spanish party island.
Incredibly, nearly three years after the American singer released that banger, he's finally worked out who was the inspiration behind it.
Irishman Bren Dunne messaged Posner on Twitter, asking him if he remembered bumping into him at an Avicii concert at the UshuaΓ―a club.
Posner came back and said: "Why'd it take u so long to reach out bro!!! Of course I remember."
Bren, 27, from Dublin, has told LADbible that they chatted for a bit when they bumped into each other but he never realised what happened that night ended up becoming the source of a massive song.
"Time passed and I never thought too much of it as Ibiza is that type place where you bump into celebrities," he told us.
"I could vaguely remember hearing a song 'I Took a Pill in Ibiza' but it genuinely didn't register with me."
Bren says it wasn't until recently when he met his cousin for the first time that they were swapping outrageous stories. The 27-year-old brought up his encounter with Mike Posner and his cousin was dumbfounded that Bren hadn't put two and two together.
"He was proper shocked. He was saying, 'Bren you realise how big this is man?' And he went into the background of the song and how long it was number one and triple platinum selling," he told LADbible.
"To think that I was the spark that possibly made a hit like that, my brain feels like it's on a frying pan."

Posner has already told his side of the story to Genius, adding: "I had written a song with Avicii that week in Sweden called 'Stay With You' and he was playing in Ibiza so I said, 'I will just go there with you,' because I was already in Europe.
"I just sort of moseyed out into the audience to watch Avicii spin from their point of view.

"I would go back and forth between the backstage and the VIP area and then where the actual kids were. And most people didn't know who the fuck I was in Ibiza except for this one guy who recognized me. He was like, 'Are you Mike Posner?' and he was all excited."
