I've never witnessed a proper rap battle.
Sure, I saw lads in caps and tracksuits smoking weed round the back of the allotments in school, while saying stuff about each other's mums, but it was hardly fucking 8 Mile.

For some reason I always thought it'd be an amazing thing to witness, with mic drop moments, massive burns, and bouncing crowds exclaiming their disbelief at the latest flurry of bars.
If this video is anything to go by, though, that is not the case. Not in the UK, anyway.

The rapper Pedro was on stage battling when someone in the audience told him he was shit. Now, I imagine to take part in these battles you have to be able to take certain comments. If you can't take someone telling you you're shit from the crowd, how can you take another rapper saying your dad sits on gear sticks while eating Big Macs, or something to that effect?
Anyway, Pedro turned to the man who'd told him he's shit, and fired back with, "you're shit, and your mum looks like Paul Scholes."
The audience member clearly didn't like this, and so made his way onto the stage, and two punches later Pedro was flat on his back.
I'm guessing he's a City fan.
