It shouldn't be surprising to you that Snoop Dogg is a fan of weed.
In fact, if you asked most people what was noticeable about Snoop Dogg, aside from twenty years of music, it's probably his excessive, conspicuous consumption of weed.
This is a guy who once gave up his name and career as a rapper to go live in Jamaica, record reggae music and restyle himself as Snoop Lion. He really, really likes weed.

What might be surprising, given the public persona of both a) weed enthusiasts and b) Snoop Dogg in particular, is to find that he's also an investor with an established portfolio of business options - which, now, if reports are to be believed, included a weed company based in the UK.
Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies is a biopharmaceutical firm in - surprise, surprise - Oxford, which focussed on - you'll be again surprised to hear - technological advancements through cannabis.
They've announced a $10 million investment from Casa Verde Capital, Snoop Dogg's venture capitalist firm, reports the Metro.

According to OCT: "The capital raised (by the deal with Casa Verde Capital) will be used to establish a strategic research partnership and laboratory in Europe.
"This will support OCT's research into the mechanisms of cannabinoids in order to develop treatments that improve the quality of life for millions of patients around the world.
"Institutional involvement in OCT adds further impetus and credibility to the fast-growing medical cannabis market."
They also announced another celebrity partnership, with Patrick Stewart coming onboard as a patron of the company.

"I am proud to become the patron of OCT," said the actor.
Stewart added: "It's wonderful that OCT have got together the funding that means that Britain will lead the way in what is, in my view, one of the world's most exciting fields of medical research. The possibilities seem to me to be virtually limitless."
Stewart has previously supported the family of Alfie Dingley in their campaign for him to be given medicinal cannabis to treat his epilepsy.
Casa Verde Capital describes itself as 'the leading venture capital firm focusing exclusively on the cannabis industry'.

So there you go. Snoop isn't just the boss - he's actually a boss, leading an international investment portfolio. And of course they invest in weed - why wouldn't they?
