Iceland Won Social Media After England's Loss In Euro 2016

Well played.

England were outplayed, outfought and beaten in every way by Iceland in their most embarrassing defeat since losing to USA in the 1950 World Cup as they lost 2-1 to Iceland last night. But worse still was the loss on social media to Iceland.

Roy Hodgson was forced to resign after the final whistle and quite frankly whoever runs the social media account for other supermarkets should also be handing in their resignations because Tesco, Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencer, Farmfoods, Aldi, Lidl, Asda and Morrisons - your boys took one hell of a beating.

Yes, of course the Iceland in question this time, who won social media for the evening, was the food shop. Kerry Katona and Peter Andre will be proud:

On what must have been a difficult night for them they came through on top, well played Iceland.

Of course it's lucky for them they've got the word "foods" in their Twitter handle because you wouldn't want to be managing the @Iceland account right now considering the amount of rage tweets you're about to get from drunk, angry, England fans.
