How many times have you been sat at work staring like a zombie into your computer mindlessly flicking between tabs to make it look like you're busy?

It's in those moments that light bulbs can often turn on in people's heads and moments of sheer madness and brilliance can occur. One such lad who had a wake up call is Jonathan Quiñonez.

The 27 year old former model and consultant from Brussels one day decided to quit his job, sell his car and travel the world. Because why fucking not?

With the country changing so fast, he decided his first port of call would be Cuba, as he was desperate to see it.

Speaking to TheLADbible, Jonathan said: "When I arrived there, with the time difference, the Communist party blocking the internet and the prices of phone calls, it was difficult to communicate with my friends and family."

Naturally, coming from Europe where internet is as readily available as the air we breathe, this made things difficult and left his poor Mexican mother anxious as to whether her son was alright.

"Mums are always worried. Especially mine. It was complicated to be in contact with her so I decided to give a positive message and show her that the world is a beautiful place and that I am fine," he continued.

And that's where the idea came from for Jonathan to begin an Instagram account called 'Mom, I'm fine'. How many times have you had to say that to your mother while she's worrying down the phone?

So now Jonathan updates his Instagram every few days with him in another dangerous looking situation just to assure his mother, he is absolutely fine.

He added: "I started to take pictures in funny or scary situations with my sign. Whatever the situation was, I always found a way to give my message."

Now, this journey can't continue forever. Jonathan is sure he can last in South America with the money he has until the end of the summer but wants to continue his journey for as long as possible.

And that's why he's on the look out for a sponsor to help him continue his journey, showing his mother that he is fine no matter where in the world he decides to go.

"It would be a dream to continue exploring the world, giving a positive message and making people laugh. I'm glad my pictures have encouraged people to see the world."

And long may it continue Jonathan. All we can do is hope you find the right people to help this journey go on as long as it can.

Jonathan, lads and ladies, is out #LadOfTheWeek and his funny Instagram account can be seen in full, here.

Oh and just a quick apology to all those offended by the American spelling of 'mom', not everyone is versed in the Queen's English, proper English if you will, so just let this one slide - Jonathan's teacher was obviously American.
