We're all guilty of telling the odd white lie for personal gain. It's usually something minuscule so that if you're called out on it there's a way of side stepping it or attaching some proof to it.
This guy told a fib in an attempt to grab a date with a girl, but quickly found that his porky was a bit bigger than the usual 'my dad knows Bruce Lee' trollop.
He told a girl that his uncle was none other than pop one hit wonder and reality TV star Peter Andre.

As you'd expect, the girl asked for proof of the relation, so he went straight to his pal, who obviously had his back.
Quickly, his mate, @HenshallCharlie, who posted the screenshots on Twitter, changed his WhatsApp profile picture to a snap of the Australian before they had a conversation.
I don't know why it's so funny, but the message: "How's it going uncle Pete you alright," has really started to tickle a lot of people.
