Mike Myers Is Completely Up For A New 'Austin Powers' Movie

All-around nice guy Mike Myers has admitted that he'd love to be apart of another Austin Powers movie and pretty much the entire world is on board.

Myers starred in three of the spoof spy capers between 1997 and 2003.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Myers said: "After my dad died in 1991, I was taking stock of his influence on me as a person and his influence on me with comedy in general. So Austin Powers was a tribute to my father, who [introduced me to] James Bond, Peter Sellers, The Beatles, The Goodies, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore.

"I would love to do another, but you just have to see. I was devastated by my father's death. But to have that turn into something that makes people happy is unbelievably satisfying. It's that kind of stuff you never get used to or get tired of."

It's not just Myers who's pining for a revamp of the Powers franchise. Last year, director Jay Roach, who directed the first film, said he had high hopes for a fourth movie even if it wouldn't be coming in the near future.

"I would say it's in a latent phase right now but someday if we find the right idea that seems to have it earn itself, for sure.

"Mike gave me the break of a lifetime in letting me direct so I'm always good to go."

I'm sure there'd be an audience. When the first film International Man of Mystery was released in 1997, audiences turned out in droves. So much so that the box office spawned two sequels: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Goldmember.

In other Mike Myers related news, rock legend Alice Cooper revealed his experience filming the "we're not worthy" scene in Wayne's World from 1992.

In the scene, Wayne, played by Myers, and Garth, played by Dana Carvey, meet Cooper backstage at a gig

"I think we did it in two takes," Cooper said. "They [Myers and Carvey] were doing everything they could to get me to break up. But they didn't realise my iron will, so I went right through that dialogue and I think I surprised them."
