Pugs have a near-constant expression of what Noel Gallagher once described in his younger brother Liam as "a man with a fork in a world of soup."
It may have something to do with their disproportionate bodies. In fact, it's probably all to with that.

In other pug-related news, the UK's biggest festival devoted to the breed will hold its first Manchester event at Media City.
Organisers behind Pugfest told MEN: "Because it's film and television themed, we are doing it in different zones. The entrance is a red carpet VIP walkway - so everyone who arrives will walk up the red carpet, and we've got paparazzi taking pictures of everybody."
"Then in the piazza we'll have the Jurassic Pug Zone, where there'll be three dinosaurs, and eggs that hatch and baby dinosaurs."

They added: "It's the biggest one we've planned this year," added organisers, who stressed that visitors do not need to have a pug to attend the event.
"There will be plenty of pugs there to play with for visitors without pugs."
