'Game Of Thrones' Actor Says Postman Won't Talk To Him Following Latest Episode

Well, it is self-inflicted.

You often hear of actors getting stick from random members of the public due to the roles they play.

The latest man to fall victim to this is Game Of Thrones' Ser Bronn of the Blackwater - or Jerome Flynn in real life.

At one time he would have been very popular with the general public, from his days singing with Robson Green as part of Robson and Jerome, to his brilliant acting in the hit HBO fantasy drama.

However, during a recent episode (and a spoiler alert warning is written right here, so stop reading if you are massively behind), Bronn shot a dragon out of the sky in 'The Spoils Of War'.

That scene thrilled the actor, but it may not have been enjoyed by everyone - his postman included.

"I was surprised when I was watching it," he said. "I spent weeks on that sequence, but I was on the edge of my seat, the adrenaline was running - the really nailed it.

"Although since the day the battle aired, I've been a little unpopular, I have to say. My postman won't speak to me because I shot the dragon."

It seems a little harsh given that by shooting that fire-breathing dragon down he saved thousands of Lannister lives.

That aside, Flynn admitted that the best part of shooting that scene was getting to pull the release on a real, working, Scorpion.

He added: "Yes, I shot that thing, so it was real. It was all part of the sequence and training. The armorers on this show are just geniuses, and they try to make everything as authentic as possible.

"It's probably the coolest weapon I'm going to get to play with."

If there wasn't enough chaos on screen with Game of Thrones, there's certainly been enough drama off it.

Last week, hackers leaked data relating to the show and they have since sent a ransom note.

HBO's chief executive, Richard Plepler, said that he was sent a five-minute video, which stated: "Our demand is clear and non-negotiable. We want XXXX dollars to stop leaking your data."

The hackers claim they want their payment in bitcoins, at around $6m (£4.6m).

It's supposedly not the first company they have targeted either, with HBO the 17th target of the group, who say only three have refused to pay up.

It is unknown if HBO paid the ransom.
