Man Looks So Much Like Barack Obama People Think It's Really Him

Or does Obama look like him?

There are some uncanny cases of people looking like celebrities in this world. Movie legend Jack Nicholson's son is a pretty good doppelganger for acting star Leonardo DiCaprio, while the man himself looks like he's turning into the former.

There's also a man in Iran who looks like Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi.

There are also the comparisons of owls that look like ex-England football manager Roy Hodgson (or is that the other way round?), Samuel L Jackson and a boxer dog, and Nigel Farage and Crush the turtle from Finding Nemo.

But do they come any better than looking like the former president of the United States, Barack Obama. Well, Jose Oliveira is so close to looking like Barack that people think it's ACTUALLY him.

The dad-of-five can't step outside of his front door in Sal, Cape Verde without someone mistaking him for the ex-leader of the free world.

The tour guide, whose friends have nicknamed him 'Mr Obama', says he has been mistaken for the politician for 10 years, adding: "Some people even ask me if I'm his brother."

You have to admit, it's a pretty close resemblance. (By the way, the first picture below is Barack Obama!)

"I work as a tour guide," he added. "So I am always meeting new people and their reaction is always the same.

"As soon as they see me they say, 'Oh my God, you look just like Obama!'.

"I find it very funny and I don't mind posing for photographs with people. I have at least 15 photographs and selfies taken every day."

Jose said that he has never been asked to represent Barack Obama as a lookalike at any event, but wouldn't rule it out if the opportunity came knocking.

"President Obama is a good man, so I like it when people compare me to him. It is also good for business," he said.

"I never try to dress like Obama or copy him in anyway.

"I have never thought about working as an Obama lookalike before, but maybe I would if given the opportunity. If it was an honest and respectful job that allowed me to support my family I would think about it."

Sounds as if he's as selfless as the man himself. But who looks like who?

"I have never said I look like Obama, people tell me I do," added Jose. "But personally I say Barack Obama looks like me."

Holidaymakers on the Cape Verde islands could be forgiven for believing they'd spotted the real Obama. Since leaving presidency in November, Barack and his wife, Michelle, have been sunning it up (albeit in the French Polynesian islands).

Photos have shown the newly man of leisure Obama and Michelle kite-surfing with billionaire Richard Branson in the Caribbean on his private islands.

Although Barack has remained schtum in public on his opinions over his successor, Donald Trump, since leaving the White House, he's been pretty vocal to close friends.

One revealed that he said he's 'nothing but a bullshitter'.
