Whoops!

Ruth Langsford, of This Morning fame, perfectly demonstrated the perils of social media when she uploaded the following tribute to her mum and sister on Mother's Day.

She wrote: "My wonderful Mum and big sis.

"Thinking of those who no longer have their Mums..... you'll always have memories."

Aww. Isn't that nice.

The sweet sentiment was slightly overshadowed by the pictures saved to her camera roll.

Take a closer look...

Not only does there appear to be a penis-shaped object in a shoe of some kind, but there's also this meme that recently went viral...

Yup, that's a woman covering her face with a penis, with the end result being that she bears a striking resemblance to 80s TV character Alf.

The fact that she saved this meme to her camera roll is absolutely amazing. The additional point that she then accidentally shared it to her 500k followers is even better.

She then uploaded the picture without the camera roll at the bottom, but forgot to delete the original Tweet.

Nah seriously, it's still there.

Her fans quickly began Tweeting at her to let her know her error. One Twitter user wrote: "There's a few rude pics in your photo stream like the penis in the shoe."

This isn't the first time technology has bested us and resulted in an embarrassing gaff (or viral fame).

The Bloke Who Accidentally Shared A Dick Pic In His Family's WhatsApp Group

Aashish Mehrotra shared the aftermath of his accidental DP in his family chat on Twitter...

After sending the picture, his quick thinking uncle tried to spam the feed so that the message wouldn't be right there. Unfortunately, it was too late and everyone saw it, Aashish told Buzzfeed.

Aashish's dad's reaction was possibly my personal highlight. I love the emoji use.

His dad then went in and deleted all the youngest members of the family, because that would be seriously scarring for them to see. Although it will definitely serve as a cautionary tale about the dangers of sexting.

Girl Accidentally Texts Her Boyfriend About Her Plans To Cheat On Him

If you're going to cheat on someone, you should probably sit down and think about whether you're clever enough to pull it off. Or maybe just don't bloody cheat in the first place.

I imagine cheating is a right pain in the arse, because how do you keep track of all of your lies?

This girl, Zoe, was in a relationship with Jordan McNelly. He thought things were going well and was working 60 hours to save some money so he could take them both away on holiday. Aw. Nice.

Well, next thing he knows, he receives this text...

Yikes. Turns out Zoe was cheating on him.

Here's a closer look in case you can't read it on your tiny little phone screen -

Jordan wrote on Twitter: "I deleted everything but she said it was a dream she had and she meant to send it to a friend."

Bullshit, right?

Think before you text or post on social media, LADs. Let's not have a repeat of any of these blunders.

Although, if it does happen, please let us know so we can write about it. It's comedy gold.
