Although he doesn't look it, Hugh Jackman turns 51 today. So who better to wish him a happy birthday than long-standing friend and rival Ryan Reynolds? Continuing their long history of social media banter, the Deadpool actor decided to send his pal a very NSFW birthday message.
Hugh Jackman is out on tour at the moment, performing songs from The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables and more - not only is he one of the world's best actors, he's also got a pretty good voice too.

One part of the show, recently shared to YouTube, sees the actor ending a section landing in his well-known Wolverine pose, much to the delight of his audience. In the clip, he then makes reference to the good-natured 'feud', jokng: "Let's see Ryan Reynolds do that."
He then adds: "By the way, do not post that, I'll have like three million tweets from him in the next ten seconds."
After this surfaced, Hugh later posted a video of himself to Instagram, saying: "At first I thought, 'Ugh, now I have to actually apologise.' But then..."
In this belated follow-up video, Ryan starts off with a wave and a pained smile, wearing a party hat.

He says: "Hey Hugh, I was just going to wish you happy birthday, then I saw what you said. In a word: hurtful."
He leaves the shot then returns with a dramatic rendition version of the standard happy birthday song, proving that he is in fact just as perfectly talented in all aspects of performance as Jackman.
Ending the song with a high note that he hits in perfect fashion, Ryan suddenly begins raging, as he shouts: "And I'm not even f***ing professionally trained Jackman, you piece of s***."
His hand gesture is blurred out but I think we can make a fair assumption that he wasn't giving his pal the peace sign.

It's just another addition to the lengthy list of hilarious messages the pair have sent each other over the years, as they've become entangled in a game of banter ping-pong.
Ryan once hijacked a poignant anniversary tribute that Hugh posted on social media, only for Wolverine himself to hit back with an invitation to a Christmas jumper-themed soirée (where, of course, Ryan was the only one to receive that particular dress code).
Despite claiming that they had 'called a truce' on their social media war, it erupted again earlier this year - Ryan starting it by parking a huge Aviation Gin truck in front of his frenemy's café, while Hugh responded by posting a picture of the vehicle being towed away.

Who knows what they'll get up to next.
