I have lost count the number of times I have wanted karma to bite controversial Katie Hopkins on the arse. Well, the time has come and I for one could not be happier.

During her talk show on LBC on Saturday, Hopkins fell for a hoax story and as a result has announced within earshot of her five million listeners that the M25 being forced shut for a week.

The mastermind behind the fake story, who in his spare time writes for a fake news website dedicated to stories for the local community of Southend On Sea.

The Chief Reporter told theLADbible: "Back in April, I was literally sitting in front of a laptop and I thought, 'wouldn't it be funny if the M25 closed for a whole week so that the government could organise a fitness event.

"It got thousands of hits at the time, and then I assumed it had been forgotten about. I was wrong!"

Hopkins, who is best known for nearly every controversial statement that you have ever heard as well as once upon a time staring on the apprentice, broadcasted: "The M25 motorway is due to close for one whole week in August as the Department of Health and sports officials are organising a fitness event which is being billed as the ultimate endurance race.

"So that's to close the M25 motorway for one whole week in August and that will take place the 1st to the 8th of August 2016.

"Teams of four people are invited to walk, jog or run to complete the 117 miles that make up the second longest orbital motorway in the world. Well, I'm up for that if only to go and mock people that are causing such chaos and havoc.

"I wonder if that's going to go down very well, shutting the M25 motorway."

The simple, yet effective story took The Chief Reporter just 15 minutes to write, sub and post to the fake news website southendnewsnetwork.com.

He said: "I have absolutely no idea how it slipped past her researchers! Every page on Southend News Network has the tagline 'The latest news from Southend, honest...' at the top. And other than putting 'This isn't true' in massive flashing lights, I don't know what else I could have done.

Hopkins was therefore forced to do a U-turn after tasting the metaphorical pie on her face.

"Just to clarify, the M25 will not be closed. I'm quite sad actually, because I was quite looking forward to going," said the 41-year-old presenter. "But just to verify that won't be happening next week. I would also say there have been much bigger spoofs that I have probably been caught out on."

Well done that man, who in just 15 minutes inadvertently managed to make Hopkins sweat herself out after publicly humiliating herself.
