The Beast Did Something Very Un-Beast-Like On The Chase

The Beast Did Something Very Un-Beast-Like On The Chase

This isn't the Beast we know and love.

Mark 'The Beast' Labbett is known for his cool under pressure, emotionless face and for schooling Brits who think that their pub trivia is good enough.

He's a stone cold, tough love kind of guy who revels in the fact that he's pretty much always right.

But when a contestant named Ali came onto the set, he didn't realise he was going to come up against his match.

She set a score of 19 to catch, which is pretty fucking impressive for one person.

When The Beast set out to chase the target he was set back four times by Ali. And as he edged close towards the goal of 19 you could see him get nervous.

He stumbled near the final hurdle and couldn't answer who plays Sick Boy in the Trainspotting movies which allowed Ali to scoop the £5,000.

Now while our Beast wouldn't normally show his weakness, he humbly asks host Bradley Walsh to give her a hug for him.

That was his soft, cuddly side. He hasn't always been this gracious in defeat, however.

It turns out that The Beast isn't just called that because the programme's producers had to make the show more exciting by adding attention-grabbing nicknames for the show's quizzers.

It seems, when he fails to do the one thing he was put on God's green Earth to do, he doesn't walk away happy.

Losing £60,000 left him feeling very sour. As a team of three celebrated their victory, The Beast he congratulated them but wasn't hanging around too long. He stormed off backstage, loudly punching the set as he went.

The Beast is known for losing it after making mistakes but this was probably his most furious moment on the show yet.

He can get easily offended as well if you interrupt him. Former EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy found that out when she correctly answered a question about who was the last foreign born American Secretary of State.

She answered Madeleine Albright, while the Beast thought it was Colin Powell. As the Beast is saying, 'I honestly thought I knew that one', cheeky Natalie buts in and replies: "Well you didn't did you."

Look at the guy. You wouldn't want to pick a physical or mental fight with The Beast
