If you're of the belief that a BBQ is only a success once it's been christened by meat sweats then behold the magnificence of the Daddy of all Burgers - Marks & Spencer's new colossal 1kg gut-buster.

This monstrous bastard is the latest creation from those culinary geniuses at the store which they suggest will 'wow family and friends.' Quite frankly, it's hard to dispute.

And why? Well, in case the literal weight of the thing didn't tip you off, the Daddy of all Burgers is the equivalent of over 8 quarter pounders, which the store suggests is 'ideal for sharing at summer parties'.

But we all know better than that, right? There's no way this gargantuan meat treat is being shared by anyone anytime soon. This is a Kingly banquet for one.

Though size obviously matters (only when it comes to burgers, LADs), there's even more to this burger than just a massive munch. As well as being a tender BBQ pulled beef filled with creamy cheese sauce, the Daddy of all Burgers is also wrapped in streaky bacon rashers.

It is, in short, the burger that dreams are made of.

The meat patty is £8.50 and M&S are also selling a Giant Burger Bun to accompany it, so you don't have to worry about crushing together eight tiny buns just to sandwich it between.

Though you've likely already set your very own Man vs Food burger challenge ahead of time with this item, the store does have some serving suggestions that are a little more respectable.

Sarah Loxton, M&S Product Developer said of the burger: "Decadent and delicious, it's set to be a real crowd pleaser and better still you can portion however you like.

"We recommend at least four servings, but it will stretch further as part of your summer feast and can even be served as a tasty canapé.

"The tender pulled BBQ beef and creamy cheese sauce hidden centre adds that extra wow-factor to an already show-stopping centrepiece!"

It's only right that such a triumph of culinary engineering should become available right now: A heat wave is set to hit the UK this weekend which means every street and public park in the country will be hosting a slew of barbecues, demanding such a beast be sizzled up with a big bag of cans to enjoy it with.

With the Daddy of all Burgers, M&S has really laid down the barbecuing gauntlet and all we can say is: Challenge accepted.
