Man Could Get A Year’s Supply Of Chicken Nuggets, But He Needs Your Help

Everyone needs to pitch in.

Chicken nuggets from fast food chains have often copped a bad rap for being, well, downright shit for your body.

The FoodNetwork believes the little rays of goodness 'are lacking significant amounts of vitamins, minerals, fibre, antioxidants and healthy fats'.

That's a little harsh. They're usually a big staple for a hangover diet, and the dipping sauces make them even that much better.

But imagine if you could have as many chicken nuggets you wanted for an entire year.

Well that scenario has been handed to one cheeky Twitter user, Carter Wilkerson, who thought he would boldly ask Wendy's for a favour.

He tweeted them asking how many retweets does he need to get to get a year's supply of chicken nuggets.

To which the fast food chain promptly replied: 18 million.

Carter has already racked up more than a million retweets - which has started to make Wendy's worried.

Twitter users are banding together to try and help Carter reach his goal.

One use said: "@McDonalds you guys better get this man some Szechuan sauce for those nuggs @RickandMorty."

While another wrote: "We should make a Facebook page to support him and start making a real effort. If he were to get 18 mil that would be record breaking history."

Indeed it would be a record. It would actually beat the current record about six times over. The title holder for the most retweeted image rests with Ellen DeGeneres, who has a little more than three million for her iconic Oscars selfie.

Carter has tweeted at Ellen, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon to help spread the word. The hashtag #nuggsforcarter has also exploded on Twitter.

Luckily he has time on his side as Wendy's never negotiated a time period.

People all over the globe are pitching in - even one man who has taken it a step further and set up a GoFundMe page to pay Twitter bots to retweet the original message. Although the end goal is $62,000 (£50,000) which sounds a bit dodgy.

But sometimes banter can go the wrong way when companies don't do their research.

Take Iceland for example, the massive frozen supermarket franchise, who tried to show off after Iceland drew with Portugal 1-1 in the 2016 Euro's.

They tweeted Nando's official account, trying to rub up a banterous Twitter beef. It's fair to say it backfired slightly.

They later tried to remedy their horrendous banter by firing some shade some more poor patter Cristiano Ronaldo's way.

Hopefully no one lost their job over this little mishap.
