Imagine it. It's your mate's birthday and he asks all the LADs to meet up at 7pm on the dot for a few drinks and a bit of a night out. You're up for it, it's Friday night - why the fuck not?
You start getting ready, have a shower, beer, think about ironing your shirt... then you get a text from the birthday boy: "Soz but I'm not coming at 7. I'm going to stay in with the missus."
This exact situation happened to Lee Seagraves, Joe Pemberton and Lewis Norton. Their mate, Adam Maher, bailed on them.
Lee told LADbible: "So he asked us all to make sure we are free to go out for his birthday at 7, messaged us at 8 saying he is 'going to give it a miss because he wants to spend time with his girlfriend and is up early in the morning'. We took it upon ourselves to bring him out in spirit as he was being a wet wipe."
Wet wipe indeed. They took this completely literally and replaced Adam with this...
What followed was an incredible night which consisted of 'Adam' getting barred, being sick and even managing a cheeky kiss. LAD.
They started the night with a few drinks and some laughs...
Adam even opened the door for them, nice guy.
They started off in their local Wetherspoons in Ormskirk, West Lancs.
They even got the staff involved.
Whoops, looks like Adam's had a few too many already.
They then sang him 'Happy Birthday'. Aw.
Lee continued: "As always, Adam hates staying in one place and he always gets his way so we had to hurry up our drinks and move on, we then went across the road to Styles."
Whoops, Adam fell over.
A few of his mates were out, sick night so far...
"Lots of his friends were out to join in the celebration, he even got a fair few birthday kisses," Lee added.
Singing Happy Birthday again, lucky boy.
"He became legless and ended up on the floor, when asked to leave he took his time and 'Roo' the manager wasn't having it and threw him out as he is always causing trouble and not taking orders lightly," said Lee.
Nah, he really did get barred...
Lee continued: "We then took him back for a night cap and enjoy the bottle of Patron we got him for his birthday, he then snuck into my bed, the dirty bugger, then Joe sent our last message to our 'best friend' not to be a wet wipe on your birthday and come out with the boys next time."
There is always enough time for a nightcap.
The real Adam absolutely loved it. Hopefully he's learnt his lesson for next year...
