3D Homer Simpson As A Person Would Give Freddy Krueger Nightmares

Everyone loves the odd Simpsons reference or nostalgia trip, but that might change after seeing Homer Simpson as an actual person

Whatever you might think about The Simpsons, you can't deny that it's a classic TV show. It was probably a big part of your childhood and you loved seeing Homer Simpson strangle Bart every opportunity that he could.

We hope that you've enjoyed your fond memories of Homer, as you're not going to be able to undo what you're about to see.

Artist Miguel Vasquez asked the same question that many of us have asked before: what would Homer look like as a human? Hey, everyone loves a hypothetical, but sometimes things should just stay as a what-if question.

Vasquez, who is based in Ontario, Canada, decided to create a 3D re-imagining of Homer. Yeah, it's not a pretty sight either. In fact, it's the kind of thing that would give Freddy Krueger nightmares.

If it doesn't look like a rejected X-Men character, it looks like the lovechild of SpongeBob and Kermit the Frog.

While most people would be shocked by what they've seen - and rightfully so - not everyone hates the 3D look. To be fair, there are a lot of people on social media that actually admire the artist's work.

One Twitter user wrote: This is why l [love] your work. I am both scared out my mind and very intrigued."

Another user commented on Instagram: "Very impressive ZBrush skills! Scary as hell, but super cool!"

Of course, there are a lot of people who don't agree with the representation of poor Homer.

"This can easily ruin someone's weekend," one user tweeted. Another person wrote what many of us would be feeling: "This is bloody horrendous!"

Honestly, you must be surprised that some people are equally shocked as they are admiring it. For most people, it's probably destroyed every memory they've held dearly of Homer.

Look, we don't know if Vasquez is on a mission to damage people's love and appreciation for different characters, but it'll no doubt scar any person who is brave enough to venture through the artist's Instagram account.

He's done versions of this art for Ed, Edd n Eddy, SpongeBob SquarePants and even Nigel Thornberry!

If you're looking to keep your friend's childhood memories intact, it's probably best to keep them away from the Homer art. The Simpsons has already gone through hell and back with how many times it has been renewed for TV.

From what we can tell, Family Guy and American Dad! fans can take solace in the fact that Peter Griffin and Stan Smith haven't been hit by the same fate. Well, for now at least.
