Salt Bae Is Officially Weird After His Latest Video

Salt Bae Is Officially Weird After His Latest Video

What's he doing?!

Over the last few weeks we've all come to know and love the viral phenomenon that is 'Salt Bae'.

Restaurateur Nusret Gökçe became known for the extravagant way he chops and prepares his food, ending his videos with a sprinkle of salt that has been replicated by the likes of Danny Welbeck.

The Turkish chef adopts the same style in all of his videos, seductively cutting meat, slapping and rubbing it.

His latest video, however, seems to have crossed over from the funny side to the outright weird.

Preparing a lamb to be cooked, he dances with its carcass and gives it a massage, looking like some kind of cannibal having a play with their dead victim before eating them.

What's even weirder is that, to the background song of 'I Love You Baby', there's a bouquet of roses sticking out of the lamb's arse, which he removes, sniffs and then throws at the camera.

What's more, it's nowhere near as satisfying to watch as the videos that show him effortlessly cutting through a rack of ribs, or indeed a steak.

Nusret's recent viral success has even helped to improve the success of his restaurants, which now attract the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio.

A meme himself, DiCaprio was pictured watching on as the Turkish chef sprinkled salt over his tea.

The Oscar winner looks mesmorised by the seasoning of his steak, looking like he's so high that even the simplest of twists from a salt shaker would impress him.

Ever since Leo won his Oscar, which was long overdue, we've been mindlessly trying to fill the 'Leo can't get an Oscar' meme-shaped hole in our hearts.

Luckily, he featured with a fellow meme inspiration, so that's okay.

What a legend.

What's more, he was even responsible for TheLADbible's most recent 'comment of the week'.

Comment Of The Week

Clearly we weren't the only ones thinking how hilarious the meme was, as we managed to track down a cake maker who was equally appreciative. In fact, they'd decided to ply their craft and create a cake that commemorated the moment Salt Bae first sprinkled that salt.

We posted a video of it being made on our Facebook page and I probably don't need to tell you that that shit went off.

If you didn't see the clip the first time, take a look at it here...

Now, it's one thing making a great video, but everyone knows that as great as the content may be, anything we post to Facebook is doubly as good when the comments add to the hilarity.

Here are some of the best responses we got to the post...

Abbie was pretty serious about getting some cake.

Akash pointed out what made the video so great.

Scott sounded like he should be in charge of planning the wedding.

But there was only one possible comment of the week as far as we were concerned and that came from a man named Ashley Parry.

It rightly had received 1,677 Facebook likes at the time of writing, although perhaps it would have been more reflective of its content had it received 420.

A parody of the initial Salt Bae meme, photoshopped in the place of Nusret Gökçe, is 45-year-old hip-hop star Snoop Dogg. In case you aren't aware, Snoop publicly admits he smokes 81 blunts a day. Hilarious.
